Melody Monday

They say every man can be replaced,
They say every distance is not near.
But i remember every face
Of every man who put me here.

I see my light come shining
From the west unto the east.
Any day now, any day now,
I shall be released.

Standing next to me in this lonely crowd,
Is a man who swears he's not to blame.
All day long I hear him cry out so loud,
Crying out that he was framed.

I see my light come shining
From the west unto the east.
Any day now, any day now,
I shall be released.

They say every man needs protection,
They say every man must fall.
Yet i swear i see my reflection
Some place so high above this wall.

I see my light come shining
From the west unto the east.
Any day now, any day now,
I shall be released.

Melody Monday

Oh we are what we are when in danger
And we are as we stand head in hand
When a friend brings to light
On a cold silver knife
You can stare your fate right into his hand
-into his hand

Oh we are what we are when we're made to
Be the soul-owning guardians of land
And there's always advice
On a cold winter's night
That your dreams are just an island in the sands
Way out in the sand

Don't it seem so strange
How it just don't change, yeah
Things just stay the same
As they've always been
Some of us are out to win
And some of us are out just to wane
Just out to maim

Oh we are what we are when we're praying
In our own way of seeking some light
May the mission bell still ring
Of the colorful dreams
In the faith that everyone will be treated right

Will be treated right
On a cold cold night
Will be treated right
Hell, i hope that everybody
Will be treated right, yeah
Will be treated right
On a cold, cold, cold, night
Will be treated right

:)

I still get chills watching this.  What a weekend!  I remember leaving Friday night and I wasn't quite sure where I parked the car.  All I could think was, did this really just happen?  It really set the tone and what a phantastic weekend indeed.  I could just drift through the days on a series of notes without any lyrics.  To be, to see all that is of me and the pieces scattered amongst the strangest places...I'm a wanderer in the physical and spiritual.  May the good Lord, shine a light on you.  Make every song you sing, your favorite tune.  Warm like the evening sun.

Melody Monday

Merry run around
sailing up and down
just looking for a shove
in some direction--
got it from the top
it's nothing you can stop
Lord, you know they
made a fine connection
They love each other
Lord, you can see it's true (x3)

He could pass his time
'round some other line
But you know he
chose this place beside her
Don't get in the way
there's nothing you can say,
Nothing that you need
to add or do
They love each other
Lord, you can see it's true (x3)

It's nothing they explain
it's like a diesel train--
you better not be there
when it rolls over
And when that train rolls in
you don't know where it's been
You gotta try and see
a little further
They love each other
Lord, you can see it's true (x3)

Sunday's Daydream

Skipping down the candyland boardwalk with your thimble on Park Place.  Life calling!  Come back sometime when you get a chance, will ya?  I know that you are trying to make the most of things here and let me ask you a question.  How is it up there?  I'm about to round the corner and make two hundred.  I'll have a full report done by Monday.  Okay?  Can you count the lemonade cans dancing up the Boulevard at midnight?  Do you know that hamsters date of birth?  Let's measure the wingspan of our love with the largest creature we can dream up.  I bet the creature is at the bottom of the volcano sitting at the bar dreaming about heart shaped Valentine candy with those clever little pecking phrases.  Please add some cinnamon avocado to mine.  " They say love your brother but you will catch it when you try.  Roll you down the line boy, drop you for a loss."  The path is sometimes short and sometimes long.  The Venus fly trap will take a nip at you if you're not careful.  Always be aware of your surroundings and be steadfast where you walk...never eat yellow snow cones.  I prefer to tiptoe on the lily pads in the Amazon, there are beasties everywhere.  Wolves without sheep clothing at face value for what they are.  Perception of time is now a placebo variable.  How long have we been gone anyways?  Right!  Full report on Monday.  Gotcha!  Take my hand, I don't want no stragglers getting lost in this daydream.  Folks, my brain is experiencing a high volume of calls.  The average wait time is one hundred and forty three seconds.  Feel free to help yourself to some dryer sheets.  Scattered metaphors playing hide and seek in the park on a dusty but pleasant night at dusk.  Running, skipping, walking, or trotting...again, it's totally up to you.  Stand still if you'd like but just don't make it windy because indeed it looks like rain.  Let's head for cover and drift back off to sleep for awhile.  Full report.  Right!  I'm on it!  "So many roads to ease my soul."

One More Saturday Night

Greetings people!
Summer is dwindling like the end of a caterpillar starting to emerge from a chrysalis with a whole new outlook.  The caterpillar is no longer and it is time to shift gears.  It has entered a new season and has to formulate a new game plan.  Things are different and will never be the same.  Change is difficult folks.  I wonder how bewildered that butterfly must be.  "The pupa skin splits, the limp, damp butterfly crawls out-now with compound eyes, a proboscis for feeding and six legs."  I don't think it gets to watch any tutorial or receives any instructions on how things are going to be after the transformation.  I think that in someway we are all under a transformation, taking a difference stance in life.  Some people choose to do what they have always done, which in return, they will get what they have always got.  Good, bad, or indifferent, we have choices and paths to take or make.  A wise man once told me, "no change, no change!"   Advance towards your goals and continually make new ones all the time.  Stand for something or you will fall for anything.  Be diligent and unafraid of the unknown.  Storm the gates and tell your enemies and giants to kiss your ass!

Melody Monday

A tune and maybe sometimes a little input, but for today, a tune indeed.

Fare you well my honey
Fare you well my only true one
All the birds that were singing
Have flown except you alone

Goin to leave this Brokedown Palace
On my hands and my knees I will roll roll roll
Make myself a bed by the waterside
In my time - in my time - I will roll roll roll

In a bed, in a bed
by the waterside I will lay my head
Listen to the river sing sweet songs
to rock my soul

River gonna take me
Sing me sweet and sleepy
Sing me sweet and sleepy
all the way back back home
It's a far gone lullaby
sung many years ago
Mama, Mama, many worlds I've come
since I first left home

Goin home, goin home
by the waterside I will rest my bones
Listen to the river sing sweet songs
to rock my soul

Goin to plant a weeping willow
On the banks green edge it will grow grow grow
Sing a lullaby beside the water
Lovers come and go - the river roll roll roll

Fare you well, fare you well
I love you more than words can tell
Listen to the river sing sweet songs
to rock my soul

Greetings

Welcome to my blog.  Most often I forget about the time.  My name is Johnny and, well, you can put the puzzle together as we go along.  As my mind unravels into words, cascading into meaning of some sort of symbolism or context...just bare with me cause we are not there yet.  I'm simple and spontaneous but somewhere to the left or right of the bell curve.  Won't you come and walk with me for a little while?  I promise that the trees will clap, but not for me.  I bid you a wonderful day people whether it is the morning, afternoon, or night.  "One watch by night, one watch by day, if you get confused just listen to the music play."

“Alice came to a fork in the road.  'Which road do I take?' she asked.
'Where do you want to go?' responded the Cheshire Cat.
 'I don't know,' Alice answered.
'Then,' said the  Cat, 'it doesn't matter.”
